Opening your account

Our mission is to provide you with a simpler and safer banking experience. Our team will assist you at each step of the account opening process.

Step 1: Submit your request

  • Click on the “Get in touch” button at this page and submit the online form

  • We will contact for an appointment to discuss your banking needs.

Step 2: Tell us about Your Company

  • Provide relevant information about your company and start preparing the required documents to open your account.

  • Here are the possible documents we may ask for, depending on your account requirements.

    Corporates incorporated under Companies Act 1965

      • Certificate of Incumbency (COI - applicable to Company incorporated outside Malaysia

      • Board Resolution

      • NRIC/ Passport copies of all your connected parties (such as Shareholders, Authorised Signatories, Directors, etc)

      • Form 13 (Certificate of Change of Name)

    • Ownership structure chart signed by director (if applicable)

    • Company’s tax information

    Corporates incorporated under Companies Act 2016

      • Certificate of Incumbency (COI - applicable to Company incorporated outside Malaysia

      • Board Resolution

      • NRIC/ Passport copies of all your connected parties (such as Shareholders, Authorised Signatories, Directors, etc)

    • Ownership structure chart signed by director (if applicable)

    • Company’s tax information

    Partnership

    • Limited Liability Partnership Agreement or Partnership Agreement OR Partnership Deed (Not applicable for Enterprise)

    • Business Registration Certificate

    • NRIC/ Passport copies of all your partners

    • Audited Financial Statement OR Confirmation of Annual Revenue via Email

    • Mandates for Account of Partnership / Limited Liability Partnership

    Law Firm

    • Indemnity Insurance Certificate

    • Letter of setup (Registration ) from Bar Council

    • NRIC/ Passport copies of all your partners

    • Annual practising certificate(s)/annual certificate(s) of registration issued by the Registrar of the profession’s governing body (for all partners/legal Assistant)

    • Audited Financial Statement OR Confirmation of Annual Revenue

    Associations / Clubs / Cooperatives/Societies and Other Religious Bodies 

    • Certificate of Registration (CoR)

    • By-Laws/Charter/Constitution Document

    • Latest minutes of Annual General Meeting (AGM)/Agenda

    • Verification documents of Beneficial Owners / Shareholders, Authorised Signatories, Directors, Connected Parties

    1. NRIC (Malaysian)

    2. Government Issued National ID or Passport (foreigners)

    3. Proof of Address

    Trust

    • Certificate of Registration of Trust

    • Trust Deed

    • NRIC/ Passport copies of connected parties (such as Protector, Settlor, Trustee and Beneficiaries)

    • Ownership structure chart signed by director

    Foundation

    • By-Laws/Full or Partial Foundation Charter/Constitution Documents

    • NRIC/ Passport copies of Office Bearers (such as Founder, Council Member, Advisor and etc)

    • Certificate of change to any registered particulars of a society / club / association /equivalent (If any change of name)

    • List of Office Bearers/Councillors

    • Registration issued by the Registrar of the profession’s governing body e.g.. The Registry of Societies of Malaysia or equivalent

    • Minutes of Meeting or Resolution

Step 3: Confirm Requirements and e-Sign Application Form

  • We will email the Account Pack and Online Application Form for your review.

  • Validate the information in the Account Pack and sign the Online Application Form electronically.

Step 4: Submit required documents

  • You'll be asked to send us all required documents (see Step 2 for the types of documents we may ask for) for our review.

Step 5: Account Activation

Congratulations! Your account application process is now complete. Your HSBC Business Account and HSBCnet Account will be activated.
